Valentines weekend camping – Springwater Ranch Mississippi
Troop 416 spent Valentine’s Day weekend camping at Springwater Ranch. We set up our tents on Friday night and slept in them that night.
The next morning, each patrol cooked their own breakfast and ate. As a troop, we found poles to serve as a flagpole and lashed them together. We raised the flag, securing it with guy lines to minimize our impact.
The patrols prepared lunch then made cane poles and fished.
Saturday evening, we had a campfire and broke for the last bit of free time. The next morning, the patrols ate a cold breakfast and packed. We cleaned up patrol gear and campsite, and had a devotional service and headed for St. Marks. Once at the church, patrol leaders cleaned out the patrol boxes and went home.
