Tishomingo rappelling success
The Scouts of Troop 416 had a great time rappelling and camping at Tishomingo State Park in May. Most of the Scouts had never rappelled before, which made it even better. For many, their first rappel started with fear in their face, and their second started with a smile. We even convinced a few random hikers to try rappelling for the first time, too! That was an excellent chance to live the Scout Spirit and let folks know who Scouts are. The boys who chose not to rappel are more likely to do it next time. Beyond rappelling, the dutch oven cooking was outstanding – biscuits, desserts and pot roast all were excellent. Thanks to our Mississippi State Parks for having such great facilities.
